We host several clubs at the centre, and have our rooms regularly booked out for other local clubs. If you’d like to start your own, get in touch.
Nailsea Bowls Club
We are looking forward to a great summer of bowls in 2026 which includes the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow
Why not come and join us at our friendly club night, every Monday throughout the summer season from 6.30pm.
We offer free coaching to all including those new to the game or returning. As well as club social play we have club league teams and friendly matches every week from April-September.

Nailsea Lawn Tennis Club
Mizzymead provides excellent tennis facilities. There are three superb astroturf courts which are all floodlit.
The courts were completely refurbished in September 2021 and offer some of the best playing surfaces in the county.
There is a comfortable club room, pleasant viewing terrace and patio area.
We provide different categories of membership for adults and there is also a junior section.

Indoor Bowls
A sociable, lively club with 3 indoor rinks at the Mizzymead Recreation Centre with excellent LED lighting and a teired viewing area.
We are based alongside Nailsea Bowls Club but operate as an entirely separate entity. We have a large membership which draws largely from many of the North Somerset outdoor clubs including Backwell, Yatton, RBL, Portishead and Long Ashton as well as Nailsea.
Everyone is welcome.

Bridge Club
Bridge club meets on Thursday evenings in the Committee Room and play duplicate bridge.
Normally pairs and partners can be found if required.

Snooker Club
Snooker is played on two tables in a recently refurbished quiet room, with new air conditioning and heating,.
Tables are well cared for with bright modern lighting installed.
One table has recently been resurfaced.
Play either socially or join one of our teams in three local leagues: the Clevedon and District, The North Somerset, or Bristol leagues.
New players of all standards welcome.
