Nailsea Indoor Bowls Club have started their 2019-20 Season with a series of ongoing activities.
At the end of their last season they presented a cheque to the Memory Café at the Tithe Barn, This season they invited members of the Memory Café to a hospitality day on 03 November which featured in the local Times paper.
Message from the Memory Café:
Hello… I just wanted to write and thank you for your hospitality today. The organisation of the event, the refreshments, the kindness of the volunteers and club generosity in the free use of their facilities was amazing! Our Group Members and Carers all left with big smiles!
Other recent activities included an open day invitation to the Kids in the Nailsea area to come along to have a go at Bowls to dispel the myth that it is an ‘Old Mans Game’. They learned the skills needed to get their woods close to the Jack and how to ‘bomb’ their opponents woods blocking the Jack.
Nailsea Indoor Bowls will continue over the coming months to promote their facility across a broader spectrum.
Why not come along and meet the Members and arrange to try out their recently refurbished facility for yourself.
